Garden Coach: Design and Education

Patricia Carpenter will provide 2 hours of garden advice and education.  She will come in her work clothes and can help with ideas for garden design, plants that will do well in Davis, ways to improve your soil (mulching, composting), garden clean-up and maintenance, pest and weed problems, cut flowers, plants that attract beneficial insects, kitchen gardens (vegetables, fruit trees,…..and many edibles), and California native plants and other low water plants. Patricia has been gardening in Davis for 35 years, teaches gardening classes, helps with school gardens and puts out a newsletter with 6 issues a year, The Digging Fork.
