Wine Tasting and Lunch for 6 at Scribe Winery

scribe winery

In a stately stretch of Carneros, just east of the town of Sonoma, one of California's oldest vineyards is becoming one of its newest. The site dates back to 1858, but when Scribe founder Andrew Mariani, 28, and his partners found it, it was an old turkey farm, filled with 13 low sheds holding birds. It is now a magnificent work in progress, complete with a stately palm-lined driveway and an old farmhouse and cellar refurbished into a pristine bit of rustic chic. Also involved are Andrew's brother Adam Mariani, his uncle Andrew Avellar who runs a Vineyard management firm and Kristof Anderson who is a renowned winemaker.
What has gathered most visibility for Scribe, though, might be how the young Marianis have turned the property into a foodish rave. Produce from Scribe's garden is used for their delicious wine tasting lunches. You will be delighted wandering around the old Mission Revival Hacienda or sitting in the earthy outdoors enjoying their extensive outdoor kitchen and wood-fired oven. Come discover and experience the rebirth of a historic Sonoma property at Scribe Winery.
