Tour de Cluck: Our Community Bicycle Chicken Coop Crawl!

Saturday, May 22, 2010

“The Tour de Cluck: A Bicycle Chicken Coop Crawl!”, presented by the Davis Farm to School Connection, offers the chicken lovers and chicken curious among us the opportunity to visit a variety of our Davis, CA community's chicken coops. Your participation will benefit the Davis Farm to School Connection’s work to support local food in a healthy school environment.

The coops featured on the 2010 “Tour de Cluck” will be presented as a self-guided tour in neighborhood clusters (coop loops!) with most having easy access to the Davis Bicycle Loop. Yearning for hens to call your own? Don’t know where to begin? New to chickendom and need answers to your poultry questions? Each loop will feature expert chicken information and an informative resource list!

While enjoying the Tour de Cluck by car is an option, we strongly encourage you to dust off that bike and ride! Timed to coincide with "May is Bike Month", those who choose to visit the chicken coops on two wheels will have access to bicycle guides and limited emergency repairs provided with the generous support of “Davis Bicycles!”.

Offered in conjunction with the Coop Crawl, visit the Tour de Cluck Art Exhibit and Silent Auction on the Central Park green. There are also exciting Tour de Cluck Sponsorship Opportunities available starting at just $100. Don’t miss this limited opportunity to put your stamp on a fantastic first ever community event.
